OTET is a Qualifying Exam, Not a Recruitment Test

It is important for all successful candidates to understand that OTET certification does not guarantee direct recruitment. The test is a mandatory eligibility requirement for candidates seeking appointment as teachers in government and private schools across Odisha.

Candidates Who Did Not Qualify – What Next?

For candidates who could not secure the minimum qualifying marks, this is not the end of the road. OTET is conducted annually, and candidates are eligible to reappear in the next examination cycle. The board is expected to announce the schedule for OTET 2026 (December cycle) later this year.

With the declaration of OTET Result 2026, nearly 1.10 lakh candidates have successfully cleared the eligibility test and are now one step closer to their teaching careers. The pass percentage of 68.97% reflects a competitive yet fair evaluation by the board.
