GATE 2025: The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) is scheduled to open the application window for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 today, on August 28. Eligible candidates can register online to pursue postgraduate engineering programs across various institutions at gate2025.iitr.ac.in.

Key Dates - Registration Begins: August 28th, 2024 (Wednesday)

- Last Date to Apply (Regular Fee): September 26th, 2024 (Thursday)

- Last Date to Apply (Late Fee): October 7th, 2024 (Monday)

- Exam Dates: February 1st, 2nd, 15th, and 16th, 2025 (spread across two shifts)

The GATE 2025 exam will be conducted in two shifts (forenoon and afternoon) on each of the four scheduled dates. The forenoon shift will be from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM, and the afternoon shift will be from 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The exam will consist of 30 objective-type papers conducted in English. Candidates can choose either one or two papers from the available combinations. The exam duration will be three hours, and the GATE score will be valid for three years from the result announcement.

Candidates currently enrolled in the third year or higher of an undergraduate engineering/technology/architecture program or those who have completed a government-approved degree in engineering, technology, science, commerce, arts, or humanities are eligible to apply.

- Female, SC/ST, and PwD candidates: Rs. 900 (regular fee) and Rs. 1400 (late fee)

- All other candidates (including foreign nationals): Rs. 1800 (regular fee) and Rs. 2300 (late fee)

Step 3. Enter your personal, educational, and contact information.

Step 4. Select the papers you want to appear for.

Step 5. Submit scanned copies of your photograph, signature, and other necessary documents.

Step 6. Use net banking, debit card, credit card, or UPI to pay the required fee.

Step 7. Review your details carefully before submitting the application form.

• Scanned passport-sized photograph (JPEG/JPG format, size between 5 KB and 1 MB)
• Scanned signature image (JPEG/JPG format, size between 5 KB and 200 KB)
• Scanned category certificate (SC/ST, if applicable) in PDF format
