CTET 2026 Registration: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced a one time facility for candidates who were unable to complete their CTET February 2026 application process. The decision was taken after the board received several complaints from applicants whose registrations remained incomplete after the application window closed.
According to the official press release, candidates who had already started their CTET 2026 registration but could not complete the final submission will now get another chance. These candidates will be able to complete their applications through the official website, ctet.nic.in, within a limited time period.
The CTET February 2026 application process initially began on November 27, 2025 and concluded on December 18, 2025 at 11.59 PM. During this period, a total of 25,30,581 candidates successfully submitted their applications for the 21st edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test.
CBSE also released data showing a sharp rise in applications close to the deadline. As per the board, 3,53,218 candidates applied on the second last day of registration, while 4,14,981 candidates submitted their forms on the final day. Despite the high number of applications, 1,61,127 registrations remained incomplete and were not converted into final submissions.
After reviewing the situation, CBSE said it took a sympathetic view of the matter, especially since the CTET examination is being conducted after a gap of nearly one year. Keeping this in mind, the board approved a one-time opportunity for candidates who had initiated the registration process.
As per the official notice, the special window will open at 11.00 AM on December 27, 2025 and will close at 11.59 PM on December 30, 2025. During this period, candidates can log in to the CTET portal and complete their pending application process.
CBSE has clearly stated that this facility is strictly meant for completing existing registrations only. No fresh applications will be accepted under this window. Candidates have been advised to carefully check all personal and academic details before final submission.
The board has also made it clear that no further opportunity will be provided for correction of details after this submission. Applicants must ensure that all information is accurate before completing the process, as no changes will be allowed later.
