CBSE English Board Exam 2025

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted the Class 12 English examination on March 11, 2025. As students across the country stepped out of examination halls, reactions to the paper began pouring in. Teachers and candidates alike have shared their insights, providing a comprehensive analysis of the question paper.

The CBSE Class 12 English exam, divided into three sections—Reading, Writing, and Literature—was designed to test students' comprehension, creativity, and analytical skills. The paper followed the prescribed format, adhering to the latest syllabus and marking scheme. Students were given three hours to complete the exam, which carried a total of 80 marks.

Students' Feedback

Many students found the paper to be balanced and manageable, with a mix of straightforward and challenging questions. The reading comprehension section was described as moderately difficult, with passages that required careful analysis. "The unseen passages were lengthy but not overly complex. If you read carefully, you could answer most questions," shared Sanjay Sharma, a student from Noida.

The literature section, however, posed a challenge for some. While questions from the prose and poetry sections were deemed predictable, a few students found the long-answer questions to be time-consuming. "The literature questions required detailed answers, and I struggled to finish on time," admitted Pallavi Thakur, a student from Delhi.

Teachers' Feedback

Teachers who reviewed the paper praised its alignment with the CBSE curriculum and its emphasis on critical thinking. "The paper was well-structured and tested students' understanding of the subject rather than rote learning," said Anjali Kapoor, an English PGT teacher.

Overall, the CBSE Class 12 English exam 2025 was deemed fair and comprehensive by both students and teachers. While some sections required careful attention and time management, the paper successfully assessed students' language proficiency and analytical abilities.
