The Haryana Board of School Education (HBSE) will close the online application window for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2026 today, January 05, 2026. Aspiring teachers have only a few final hours to submit their forms for the crucial state-level eligibility exam.
Prospective candidates must complete their registration through the official portals—bseh.org.in or htet.eapplynow.com—before the deadline. The board has also designated January 4 and 5, 2026, as the correction window for applicants to rectify any errors in their submitted forms.
Levels and Eligibility
The HTET 2026 serves as the gateway for teaching positions across Haryana's government schools. The exam is structured into three distinct levels:
Eligibility: Minimum 50% marks in 12th grade with a Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd).
Eligibility: Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject accompanied by a B.Ed degree.
Eligibility: Post Graduate degree in the relevant subject along with a B.Ed.
The general age limit for applicants is between 18 and 38 years. Candidates are advised to review the official notification for detailed age relaxation rules.
Exam Pattern & Lifetime Validity of Certificate
The HTET 2026 will be conducted in offline (OMR-based) mode, featuring multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Both Hindi and English languages will be used in the question papers, and the test will follow a no-negative-marking scheme.
