In a significant fillip to Uttar Pradesh’s infrastructure ambitions, the Noida International Airport region in Jewar has attracted fresh investment commitments totalling Rs 4,458 crore, following agreements signed during Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s ongoing visit to Singapore. The new pacts, inked on Tuesday, bring the total investment linked to the upcoming airport to approximately Rs 8,000 crore.
The development comes just weeks before the much-anticipated airport is set to be inaugurated next month by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a timeline confirmed by the Chief Minister on Monday.

On the second day of the official visit, aviation services major AISATS signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Uttar Pradesh government to establish two key projects aimed at transforming Jewar into a premier air freight and logistics gateway for North India, The Indian Express reported.
According to officials, the bulk of the investment — Rs 4,458 crore — will be directed towards developing a world-class cargo complex. The facility is designed to support high-value sectors such as electronics, pharmaceuticals and perishable agricultural products, positioning the airport as a critical node in the region's supply chain.
The second project under the agreement involves the establishment of a Taj SATS air-catering facility. The unit will not only cater to flights operating from the Noida International Airport but is also expected to supply meals to other airports across North India, creating a dedicated aviation services ecosystem in the region.
Officials stated that the agreement, formalised in the presence of the Chief Minister, is poised to significantly boost trade, strengthen supply chains and generate substantial employment opportunities. It reinforces the state government’s narrative of Uttar Pradesh as an emerging global investment destination, advancing its goal of becoming a major aviation and logistics hub.
The Chief Minister also toured the SATS Changi Airport Logistics Hub in Singapore, underscoring the state's intent to study and replicate global best practices in airport infrastructure management.
Tuesday's announcement follows a major pact signed just a day prior for the development of an international theme-based group housing township near the airport. The Indian Express reported that the Rs 3,500-crore residential project, spread over 100 acres in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) area, is slated to begin in 2027. It is expected to generate employment for around 12,000 people and is aimed at supporting the rapid urbanisation anticipated around the new aviation hub.
Officials noted that with a diverse portfolio of projects spanning aviation services, high-end logistics, and urban infrastructure, the airport is increasingly being positioned as a multi-sector economic node rather than a standalone transport facility.
The site’s strategic location along the Yamuna Expressway, its planned multi-modal connectivity and its proximity to existing industrial and manufacturing clusters are cited as key factors driving sustained investor interest.
