Two men were arrested in Noida after a video showing them harassing women on the road went viral on social media, police said on Sunday. The incident involved one of the men blowing flying kisses at a woman sitting in another car and following her vehicle.

The video clip shows a man driving an MG Hector repeatedly waving and blowing kisses at a woman seated in a neighbouring car. Another man sitting in the back seat can be seen smiling. According to police, the men also made obscene gestures towards other women while driving and followed their vehicles for some distance.

Police identified the accused as Amit Kumar, a resident of Azamgarh district in Uttar Pradesh, and Abhishek, who hails from Mainpuri district. Both live in Noida.

The video was allegedly recorded by a man who was driving the car being followed. He can be heard in the clip saying that the accused appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. “This man has consumed alcohol. We are travelling with our family and they are misbehaving,” he said. He also captured the number plate of the vehicle on camera.

After the video spread widely on social media, the police took note of the matter. Using the vehicle number seen in the footage, they traced the car and identified the two men involved.

Both Amit Kumar and Abhishek were arrested, and their car was seized as part of the investigation. Police said further legal action is being taken against the accused under relevant sections of the law.
