A 30-year-old man was beaten to death over an argument about the parking of a vehicle in Greater Noida.

The victim, identified as Harkesh, was a resident of Kamrela village. He was returning home with his friend, Mohit, from Greater Noida when a group of men, who had consumed alcohol after playing cricket, parked their vehicle in the middle of the road, halting traffic.

Harkesh, according to the police, asked them to move the vehicle, which led to a verbal exchange. It soon turned into a violent clash, with the accused assaulting Harkesh and Mohit with sticks and other harsh objects, according to a report by India Today.

After brutally thrashing the two men, the accused fled the scene. Bystanders alerted the police, who reached the spot and took the victims to the hospital.

Harkesh succumbed to his injuries while Mohit is undergoing treatment.

Police have registered a case against several unidentified men based on a complaint filed by the victim’s family. Two accused individuals have been arrested so far and efforts are underway to nab the rest, India Today reported.
