Caught on camera: Overloaded truck loses control, flattens SUV in UP's Rampur

One person was killed when a husk-laden overloaded truck overturned onto a moving Bolero on the Nainital National Highway in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh.

The driver, who was driving a Sub-Divisional Officer's (SDO) car, was killed on the spot as the truck toppled and flattened the SUV.

The accident occurred in the Ganj police station area near Pahadi Gate. According to police, the truck carrying husk lost control while passing through the highway and overturned onto a vehicle moving alongside it. On the Bolero ‘Uttar Pradesh Government’ was written, according to a report by India Today.

A footage of the incident is being widely circulated on social media.

On receiving information, Superintendent of Police Rampur, Vidyasagar Mishra, along with police personnel from nearby police stations, rushed to the spot.

Authorities cleared the debris and began an investigation.
