TVS Motor Company has joined hands with Noise to launch India's first smartwatch integration for an electric scooter. The new feature links the TVS iQube with a special edition Noise smartwatch, turning the watch into a connected riding device.
The smartwatch gives riders real-time updates like battery level, tyre pressure, range, and safety alerts, all on their wrist. It also shows vehicle status, such as whether the scooter is locked, unlocked, charging, or ready to ride.
The iQube smartwatch will also provide alerts for theft or towing, geofence boundaries, and even crash or fall detection. Riders will get notifications directly on their wrist, reducing the need to check their phone. Charging progress and low-battery warnings are also included.
The TVS iQube electric scooter has multiple battery options, ranging from 2.2kWh to 5.3kWh. Consequently, the claimed range on a single full charge varies from 94km to 212km. The ex-showroom price of the popular model starts at Rs 94,434 and goes up to Rs 1,58,834.
The iQube has already crossed 6.5 lakh unit sales in India, making it the country's best-selling electric scooter. The special edition Noise smartwatch will be sold only on the TVS iQube website at an introductory price of Rs 2,999. Buyers will also get a free 12-month Noise Gold subscription.
Apart from the iQube, the company also offers the Orbiter electric scooter. Priced at Rs 99,900 (ex-showroom, New Delhi and inclusive of PM E-DRIVE scheme), the new TVS Orbiter has a 3.1kWh battery, giving it a claimed range of 158km on a single full charge.
The move comes at a time when smartwatches are moving beyond fitness and lifestyle uses. By integrating them with electric vehicles, companies are looking to make everyday commuting easier and more connected for customers.
