Tata Motors will mark the return of one of its most iconic nameplates, the Sierra, by presenting the first batch of the SUV to the Indian women's cricket team that recently lifted the World Cup.
The company said each team member will receive the top-end variant of the Tata Sierra, calling the gesture a salute to their 'grit, passion and indomitable spirit' that inspired millions across the country.
Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles MD and CEO Shailesh Chandra said: "The Indian Women's Cricket Team has made the entire nation proud with their extraordinary performance and remarkable win. Their journey stands as a true testament to determination and the power of belief, qualities that inspire every Indian."
"At Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, we are privileged to present these legends with another legend, the Tata Sierra. This is our salute to their spirit and the pride they have brought to the nation -- two legends, one spirit, infinite inspiration," he added.

The new Tata Sierra will be officially launched on November 25, marking the revival of a brand that first introduced Indians to the SUV lifestyle in the 1990s. The upcoming Sierra blends ruggedness with modern design, featuring a sculpted bonnet, sharp angular lines, and a blacked-out grille with the 'SIERRA' nameplate integrated into it. The connected LED light bar at the front, dual-tone alloys and colour detailing across the pillars recreate the wraparound-glass look of the original Sierra.
The interior will sport a triple-screen setup combining a digital instrument cluster, infotainment unit, and a co-passenger display. The SUV will also get features like Level 2 ADAS, panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, dual-zone climate control and advanced connectivity.
Part of Tata's multi-powertrain strategy, the Sierra will debut with internal combustion engine options, followed by an all-electric version next year. Prices are expected in the Rs 13.50 lakh-Rs 24 lakh (ex-showroom) range. The SUV will compete with the Mahindra Thar Roxx and MG Hector, among others.
