Bajaj Chetak 3001 launched, price starts at Rs 99,990

Bajaj Auto today launched the Chetak 3001, priced at Rs 99,990 (ex-showroom). The Chetak 3001 comes as an upgrade to the Chetak 2903, which was available for Rs 98,498 (ex-showroom).

The Chetak 3001 is based on the new EV platform, which arrived with the Chetak 35 Series late last year. The Chetak 35 Series is available in three variants -- 3501 (Rs 1,22,500), 3502 (Rs 1,22,499) and 3503 (Rs 1,02,500). All prices are ex-showroom.

Replacing the Chetak 2903, the Chetak 3001 is now the most affordable electric scooter of Bajaj Auto.

With a new floorboard battery architecture, the Chetak 3001 has a 3.0 kWh battery pack, which is good for a range of 127 km on a single full charge. A 750 W charger can juice up the battery from 0% to 80% in just 3 hours and 50 minutes. It can reach a top speed of 63 kmph.

Bajaj Auto did not reveal the motor specifications of the Chetak 3001. The electric scooter has a 35-litre boot.

With TecPac, you get optional features like music control, guide me home lights, hill hold assist, reverse light and auto-flashing stop lamp. It also provides calling facilities.

The Chetak continues to remain the only electric scooter in its class with a metal body. It is IP67-rated for water resistance.

Bajaj Auto has introduced a new colour option -- Lime Yellow -- with the Chetak 3001. It can also be had in Brooklyn Black, Racing Red, Azure Blue and Cyber White paint schemes.
