ADAG chairman Anil Ambani appeared before the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Tuesday to answer questions related to the 2G scam, reports CNBC-TV18 quoting PAC sources.

According to the sources, Anil Ambani said that his Reliance Communication was discriminated against Tata Tele Services and was made to wait over 18 months to get spectrum since Tata jumped the queue. "Dayanidhi Maran told us orally to apply for GSM. No favours were shown to us. We are not a beneficiary of the 2G scam. Swan was not a front of our group and we are not involved in any corrupt practices," said Ambani.

He further said that the Reliance Telecom, a unit of Reliance Communications (Rel Comm) will contest all CBI charges.

Sources said that Anil Ambani could not answer several questions related to the chargesheet. He told the committee that the matter is sub-judice.However, a committee member said that Ambani was co-operative and crystal clear and did not evade any questions.
