Pakistan’s Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, made a series of striking remarks during a media briefing, touching on internal security, regional threats, and Pakistan’s strategic posture.
During the briefing, Chaudhry said, “India carried out attacks and killed Pakistanis, and we also killed our own citizens.” He further stated, “We didn’t carry out attacks in Afghanistan to kill Afghans; we killed Pakistanis…” The comments appeared to acknowledge Pakistani casualties in operations linked to regional security dynamics.
The DG ISPR also claimed that India and Afghanistan could jointly launch an attack on Pakistan, adding, “aa jao tum dono ka sawagat hai.” His remarks were delivered in a confrontational tone as he addressed perceived external threats.

Throughout the briefing, Chaudhry repeatedly used colloquial and mocking phrases, including “Mazaa na kraayaa, toh paise vaapis” (If you don’t enjoy it, money back), while issuing warnings directed at India and Afghanistan.
He further stated that Pakistan would need to become a “hard state” in 2026, claimed that India would “never recognise Pakistan’s existence,” and asserted that Pakistan’s political leadership, military establishment, and public mindset were aligned in confrontation.
Expanding on Pakistan’s security posture, Chaudhry said that whether adversaries approach “from above or below, from the right or left, alone or together,” they would be dealt with.
During the briefing, Chaudhary shared details of Pakistani soldiers who lost their lives during the India-Pakistan conflict that followed the Pahalgam terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians. The attack was followed by India’s launch of Operation Sindoor.
He also displayed images of Pakistani soldiers who, according to him, were killed in retaliatory strikes by Afghan forces and by unidentified gunmen, as part of ongoing security challenges faced by Pakistan.
