The White House, on Saturday, marked Valentine’s Day 2026 with an unusual set of four digital postcards highlighting key actions taken by US President Donald Trump during his second term.
Marking a departure from traditional romantic themes, the administration shared comic-style digital "cards" that mix humour with references to foreign policy and domestic affairs. The overall post has been captioned, "Made just for you".

One postcard showed Maduro blindfolded and in handcuffs, described as being held in a New York detention facility following his capture by US forces last month. Framed as a Valentine’s "gift" to Americans, the caption read, "You captured my heart," celebrating what it called bringing Maduro to justice.

In January, US forces carried out an operation that resulted in Maduro being detained and flown to New York to face charges brought by US authorities. The White House has framed the move as a decisive step to hold Maduro accountable and restore stability in Venezuela, which has been battling years of political turmoil, economic collapse, and international sanctions under his rule.
Following the Venezuelan leader's detention, the Trump administration signalled a shift in its approach to Venezuela’s energy sector. US authorities have begun easing certain restrictions to allow Western energy companies to re-engage with Venezuelan oil projects under monitored frameworks.
Another visual featured Trump alongside "Executive Order 4547" with the message, "UR my Valentine." The card referenced a policy promising a one-time $1,000 government seed contribution for US citizens born between January 1, 2025, and December 31, 2028, under the administration’s Working Families Tax Cuts Act, presented as a pro-family financial security initiative.

A third postcard read, "My love for you is as strong as Democrats’ love for aliens. I’d fly 1,537 miles to have a drink with you," referring to the administration-backed crackdown on illegal immigration by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Trump has made immigration enforcement central to his agenda, with ICE playing a key role.
In his second term, the US President has continues to push for tougher enforcement, pledging to ramp up deportations, tighten border controls and broaden ICE’s authority. During his first term (2017–2021) too, ICE operations had expanded significantly, with increased arrests, deportations and workplace raids, alongside the controversial "zero tolerance" border policy that led to family separations.
The fourth card featured a map of Greenland placed inside a heart, captioned, “It’s time we define our situationship,” in a satirical nod to past discussions around the island’s strategic importance and earlier proposals regarding US interest in Greenland.

The US President in 2025, to be mentioned here, renewed his focus on Greenland, the autonomous Arctic territory of Denmark. Citing national security and strategic interests, he has described Greenland as vital to US security due to its location in the Arctic and its deposits of rare earth minerals. The US already maintains a military presence there through Pituffik Space Base.
He first floated the idea of acquiring Greenland during his earlier term, drawing firm rejection from Danish and Greenlandic leaders. His latest comments have again stirred debate in Europe, where officials stress that Greenland is not for sale.
