He further said India and Canada will work together with renewed vigour. "As vibrant democracies bound by deep people-to-people ties, India and Canada will work together with renewed vigour, guided by mutual respect and shared interests. Look forward to our meeting at the Summit," the post said.
The 51st G7 summit will be held from 15 to 17 June 2025 in Kananaskis, Alberta, Canada. Kananaskis previously hosted the 28th G8 summit.
This year’s summit is particularly significant as it marks the 50th anniversary of the G7, a group that includes the world’s most advanced economies: Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States. The European Union also takes part in the discussions.
Led by Prime Minister Mark Carney, the summit will address a variety of urgent issues, including global peace and security, economic resilience, climate action, and digital transformation. In addition to India, guest nations invited to the summit include Australia, Brazil, Mexico, South Africa, and Ukraine.
