Newly released documents from the US Department of Justice’s Epstein files reveal disturbing email exchanges between Emirati diplomat Hind Al-Owais and convicted paedophile and sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, including messages that discuss arranging meetings with women, and mentions of her younger sister.

Al-Owais, a prominent UAE diplomat and currently the Director of the UAE Permanent Committee for Human Rights (PCHR), appears in approximately 469 emails exchanged with Epstein between 2011 and 2012.

The snippets of their emails show her coordinating social meetups with Epstein and raising the possibility of introducing friends and relatives.

In one January 2012 email, Al-Owais wrote to Epstein: “Getting one girl ready is difficult enough; two girls, you can certainly call a challenge.”

Epstein responded by asking if they could arrive closer to 11 a.m. so he could have “more time with the two.” In other messages, she suggested introducing her sister to Epstein, writing: “I am so excited to see you and introduce you to my sister — she is even prettier than me!”

In another exchange, she said: “My sister is here and I have told her so much about you… I want her to meet you… let me know when!”

Epstein’s calendar and email logs further show repeated coordination with Al-Owais around scheduling meetups and arranging last-minute changes to times, indicating a pattern of communication well beyond one-off messages.

Al-Owais appears frequently at public conferences to speak about human rights, particularly women’s rights. In one speech, she said: “Investing in women is not only the right thing to do, but it’s also the smart thing to do. It’s a strategic choice that I’d like to present to you at this conference. Investing in women.”

The Epstein Files do not indicate that Jeffrey Epstein directly helped Hind Al-Owais secure her role at the United Nations. However, the timing of her appointment has drawn scrutiny, given Epstein’s known history of leveraging his influential global network to support people within his circle.

Al-Owais went on to become the first Emirati to serve as a senior adviser at the UN headquarters in New York since 1971. On a public biography platform for notable Arab figures, she is described as working “primarily to ensure that gender considerations are integrated into the implementation of internationally agreed Sustainable Development Goals.”

The Justice Department’s massive trove of Epstein-related records, made public under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, continues to yield controversial references, with civil liberties groups and analysts suggesting that names appearing in raw, unverified documents should be treated cautiously while still meriting further examination.
