The US Department of Justice (DOJ) released a fresh tranche of documents linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, publishing over three million additional pages, along with 2,000 videos and 180,000 images as part of the ongoing disclosure known as the Epstein Files.
The newly released records shed further light on Epstein’s global network and interactions with high-profile individuals. Among the disclosures is an email exchange in which Epstein expressed admiration for the traditional Pakistani Shalwar-Kurta.
Epstein's email mentions Shalwar-Kurta
An email featured in the latest document dump shows Epstein asking about the name of the traditional outfit’s components. He wrote, “What is the name of the pants?”
The response stated, “The pants are called Shalwar, and the shirt is called Kurtz:. It can be worn at Indian parties too.”
Epstein replied, “I would like to pay and buy 5 more, in a bit larger shirt size.” The email exchange appears among communications reviewed and released by the DOJ as part of the transparency exercise.
Did Epstein have Indian victims?
The documents suggest the possibility of at least one Indian victim. An email sent to Epstein by American attorney Brittany Henderson refers to a woman residing in India, whose name has been redacted to protect her identity.
In the email, Henderson wrote, “Finally - [name redacted] is currently living in India. Is there anything that can be done to help her? Would she still be eligible to receive 6 free sessions over there? Are there any resources that can be offered in India?”
The DOJ has not released further details regarding the individual mentioned in the correspondence.
Latest Epstein files dump
According to the Department of Justice, “more than 2,000 videos and 180,000 images” are included in the newly published records. The release follows the passage of the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which was approved in November 2025.
The latest cache has renewed scrutiny of Epstein’s associations, naming several prominent figures. Those referenced in the documents include US President Donald Trump, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, physicist Stephen Hawking, and Tesla CEO Elon Musk, among others.
Source of the documents
The DOJ clarified that the files were compiled from multiple investigations. The agency said, “These files were collected from five primary sources including the Florida and New York cases against Epstein, the New York case against Maxwell, the New York cases investigating Epstein’s death, the Florida case investigating a former butler of Epstein, Multiple FBI investigations, and the Office of Inspector General investigation into Epstein’s death.”
Who was Jeffrey Epstein?
Jeffrey Epstein was an American financier and convicted sex offender who operated a vast international sex trafficking network involving underage girls. He died in a New York jail cell in 2019 while awaiting trial, a death that sparked widespread public and legal scrutiny.
The newly released documents further illustrate what the DOJ described as a “sprawling web of connections,” detailing how Epstein embedded himself across social, political, and professional circles worldwide.
