The reactions were less about cricket and more about what critics described as Pakistan’s obsession with symbolic victories, particularly against India, amid far more serious political, military, and economic setbacks.
Several users pointed out that Pakistan has suffered repeated defeats to India in major tournaments in recent years, including the T20 World Cup 2024, Champions Trophy 2025, Asia Cup 2025 and Women’s World Cup. Others also linked the celebrations to Pakistan’s military humiliation during the May conflict with India.

Others accused Pakistan of projecting the Under 19 win as something far bigger than it was. “Once someone said, we have to win everytime to prove our dominance.
