Naidu was addressing scientific fraternity of different Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) laboratories at the National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI), a constituent research laboratory of the CSIR.

Naidu held separate meetings with Zimbabwe Vice President General (retd) Constantino Chiwenga, Vice President of Uganda Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi and Vice President of Malawi Saulos Klaus Chilima.

Addressing the valedictory session of the India International Science Festival, Naidu said emerging fields of artificial intelligence, robotics, Internet of things, big data analytics and digital manufacturing were going to change the way of living and added that hence, these areas needed to be fully exploited.

"Discussions are going on about the country, its economy and also GST - its effects, after-effects and side-effects. Let the discussions go on. It is always good for democracy," Naidu said during his speech at the International Conference on Technological Advancements in Railway and Metro Projects.

The vice president also dedicated seven national highway projects in the state to the nation while laying the foundation stone for six new projects.
