Chief Minister Siddaramaiah presented the state budget for the financial year 2025-26, with an estimated total outlay of Rs 4,08,647 crore.
The total expenditure for the 2025-26 budget is estimated to be Rs 4,09,549 crore. It includes revenue expenditure of Rs 3,11,739 crore, capital expenditure of Rs 71,336 crore and loan repayment of Rs 26,474 crore.
At the recent Global Investors Meet in Bengaluru, the Baldota Group announced plans to invest Rs 54,000 crore to establish an integrated steel plant under its subsidiary, Baldota Steel and Power Ltd (BSPL).
Noting that the entire party, legislators and high command is with Siddaramiah, he also welcomed Lokayukta Police clean-chit to the Chief Minister and others in the MUDA site allotment case and said "truth is victorious".
The case stems from the allotment of 14 housing sites, valued at approximately Rs 56 crore, to Siddaramaiah’s wife in 2021 in lieu of 3.16-acre land.
