Forbes India has listed her Savitri Jindal as the richest woman in the country this year having a net worth of USD 29.1 billion, according to reports.

Jindal, a Congress MP for the Kurukshetra constituency in the Lok Sabha from 2004 to 2014, announced his resignation from the opposition party, saying she wanted to support Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'Viksit Bharat' initiative.

Azim Premji, who was the third richest person in the country till about two years ago, has seen a massive erosion in his net worth since January 2022.
