Xiaomi is all set to launch the Redmi A4 5G in India on November 20. It will be the first smartphone to be powered by the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 Mobile SoC and will be priced below Rs 10,000. The handset was showcased at the Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) event in October 2024. An exclusive landing page on Amazon and mi.com has also unveiled essential specifications for the device.

Redmi A4 5G: Expected specifications

Xiaomi has confirmed that the upcoming Redmi A4 5G will be powered by the Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 Mobile chipset. It will also come with a 50MP dual-rear camera setup and will pack a 5160mAh battery with fast charging support. The official microsite also reveals that the phone will carry a 6.88-inch display with 120Hz refresh rate support.

For selfies or video calls, the Redmi A4 5G is expected to come with an 8MP camera. The device is likely to run on Android 14, enhanced by the HyperOS skin on top. For security, we could get a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a USB Type-C charging port. Further, the phone is teased with a dual-tone glass finish, which is marketed as the "Sandwich Design."

Redmi A4 5G: Expected price

At the IMC event last month, Xiaomi confirmed that the Redmi A4 5G will be priced under Rs 10,000 in India. It is speculated to come in a single variant featuring 4GB RAM with 128GB of storage. An earlier report had tipped it to be priced at Rs 8,499 inclusive of bank and launch offers. Further details will be revealed as we get closed to the launch.
