Vivo V40, V40 Pro with 50MP Zeiss cameras, 120Hz AMOLED display launched in India: Price, specs

The Vivo V40 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and the V40 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ SoC. The Vivo V40 series in India starts at Rs 34,999 for the base model.

Vivo has launched its latest V40 Series in the Indian market today. It comprises of the Vivo V40 and V40 Pro, and both phones come with Zeiss cameras, and a proper IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. These devices also have 120Hz AMOLED curved screens and an oval-shaped camera module at the back.

Vivo V40, V40 Pro: Price, availability

The Vivo V40 Pro has a starting price of Rs. 49,999 for the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant, whereas the 12GB + 512GB model is priced at Rs. 55,999. It is available in Ganges Blue and Titanium Grey shades. On the other hand, the Vivo V40 is priced at Rs. 34,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage base version.

Meanwhile, the 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB RAM variants are priced at Rs. 36,999 and Rs. 41,999, respectively. It is currently available for pre-booking in Ganges Blue, Lotus Purple, and Titanium Grey colour options. The Vivo V40 will be available from August 19, whereas the V40 Pro will be available from August 13, with preorders starting from today.

Vivo V40, V40 Pro: Specs, features

The Vivo V40 and V40 Pro come with 6.78-inch AMOLED screens with 120Hz refresh rate and upto 4500 nits of peak brightness. Both smartphones run on Android 14, with Funtouch OS skin on top of them. They also pack a large 5,500 mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging and reverse charging.

The Vivo V40 Pro is backed with a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. On the other hand, the Vivo V40 is powered by a 4nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage.

In terms of optics, the Vivo V40 has a dual rear camera setup at the back, co-engineered with Zeiss. It includes a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 50MP ultra wide-angle camera. Similarly, the Vivo V40 Pro has a triple camera setup at the back, with a 50MP main, a 50MP telephoto lens with 2x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide lens. Both smartphones come with 50MP selfie cameras.

These phones also have an India-specific feature called festival portrait, where they can capture incredible portraits with customised colour tones that matches India’s festival themes.

Along with the V40 series, vivo has also introduced  TWS 3e earbuds. TWS 3e will be available in two colours – Bright White and Dark Indigo. Priced at Rs 1,899, the earbuds  will be available on Flipkart, vivo India e-store, and  retail stores.
