A viral post suggesting that AI chatbots can replace traditional astrologers is gaining traction online, with users testing a set of prompts that promise deep self-analysis using nothing more than a date of birth. The idea has sparked debate, curiosity, and a wave of experimentation across social media platforms.

The trend began after Dipti Sharma, an AI expert and active user on X, shared a post claiming that generative AI tools such as Grok can deliver highly personalised insights that resemble astrology readings. In her post, Sharma bluntly declared “Goodbye astrologers,” arguing that structured AI prompting can surface personality traits, behavioural patterns, and long-term life themes with surprising accuracy.

According to Sharma, the experience is not rooted in mysticism or belief systems. Instead, it relies on carefully designed prompts that combine psychological frameworks, numerology-style logic, and behavioural pattern analysis. The result, she claimed, is a form of self-reflection that feels precise and, for many users, uncomfortably accurate.

The post quickly went viral, with thousands of users copying the prompts into Grok and sharing screenshots of the responses. While reactions have ranged from fascination to scepticism, the prompts themselves have become the centrepiece of the discussion.
