The Avengers and the X-Men unite to take on Doctor Doom in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4

Fortnite's Absolute Doom season

Marvel supervillain Doctor Doom will be the centre of attraction in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 titled ‘Absolute Doom’. Fortnite’s Absolute Doom season will start on August 16, after Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 concludes. Fortnite’s Absolute Doom season was revealed during Disney’s D23 event.

Taking on Doctor Doom would be the Avengers and the X-Men, led by Captain America and Cyclops respectively. Rarely do the two superhero teams come together but in the Fortnite Absolute Doom trailer, they are seen joining hands to deal with Victor von Doom. On the other side, assisting Doctor Doom in his plans would be Emma Frost, Mysterio and more.

As such, there are going to be plenty of new Marvel characters’ skins in Fortnite Battle Pass both from the Avengers and the X-Men teams including a new Peely ‘Peelverine’.

Fortnite’s Absoute Doom’ season: New Marvel characters and powers

Aside from leaders Captain America and Cyclops, Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 features character skins of several Marvel characters like Emma Frost, Cyclops' son Cable, Colossus, Destiny, Gwenpool, Mysterio, Shuri, Captain Jonesy, Rogue, Peelverine and War Machine. You will be able to unlock the skins of these Marvel superheroes and villains by levelling up.

The trailer for Fortnite’s Absolute Doom season also showed the new powers Marvel heroes and villains will be wielding. For example, Captain America will use his Vibranium shield to knock out several enemies, while War Machine can get airborne and rain pulse beams and missile-based attacks from the air. Shuri uses her Vibranium claws while Doctor Doom, the primary antagonist of Season 4, is seen using his gauntlets.

Fortnite’s Absolute Doom season: New locations

In Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, Doctor Doom gets his own castle– Castle Doom–on the Fortnite map. More Marvel-themed locations are going to be added as part of the Absolute Doom season.
