Japanese game developer and publisher Sega has announced Football Club Champions 2025, a free-to-play football management simulator game for PS5, PS4, PC (Steam), Android and iOS.
Powered by Football Manager, Sega Football Club Champions 2025 is the global version of “SakaTsuku”, the football club management sim from Japan.
Sega’s upcoming football sim would be a new entrant in a genre largely dominated by the Football Manager franchise of simulation games by Sports Interactive.
According to the game website, Sega Football Club Champions (SFCC) will feature two game modes: Career Mode and Dream Team PvP Mode. The Career Mode allows you to become the manager of a particular team, while the Dream Team PvP Mode makes you go “head-to-head with players around the globe” and features “Event Matches, the Arena, Room Matches, and more!”, says the SFCC website.
Sega Football Club Champions will let players “compete in major European Leagues” along with the J League, K League and other competitions. The football management sim comes with full cross-platform support and crossplay features for ease and flexibility of play across different devices.
Sega has also invited players for the Closed Beta Test happening from June 19-30 to refine “the game as much as possible prior to launch.” Only the first 15,000 who apply for the Closed Beta will make the cut. Pre-registrations for Sega Football Club Champions are open; just head over to the game’s official website for the steps.
Sega Football Club Champions is confirmed to launch sometime in 2025, but a narrower release window has not been disclosed yet.
