After launching the Galaxy S25 series earlier this year, Samsung is now gearing up to introduce its next flagship foldable Galaxy Z series. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to break cover in July and is anticipated to be unveiled alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 7 smartphone. Previous reports have suggested that Samsung is planning to launch these devices with Android 16-based OneUI 8 and now the Galaxy Z Fold 7 has allegedly been spotted in the Geekbench database revealing its key specifications.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Geekbench listing confirms specifications
As revealed by X tipster Tarun Vats, a Samsung device with model number SM-F966U, which allegedly could be the upcoming Galaxy Z Fold 7, has been spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. According to the listing, the phone runs on Android 16, which Samsung is expected to bring with One UI 8.0 skin.
The listing also reveals that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will be powered by a Qualcomm processor with a motherboard codenamed ‘sun,’ which is the codename for the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Considering that its prime CPU cores are running at a higher clock than the standard version of the chipset, we assume that it could be the customized Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, which also powers the latest Galaxy S25 lineup.
Further, the handset is listed with 10.72GB RAM, which means that the smartphone will have at least 12GB of RAM. Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 are expected to go official in July at Samsung's second Galaxy Unpacked event of 2025.
