Samsung Galaxy S series has always consisted of three smartphones in the past few years, including a base model, a Plus one, and an Ultra variant. The Korean tech giant is all set to introduce its next flagship series, the Galaxy S25 series smartphones, at an event on January 22nd globally. However, a new Galaxy S25 Slim with the model number SM-S937U has surfaced in benchmarks, hinting at a new entrant in the Galaxy S series lineup.
Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim listed on Geekbench: Expected specifications
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim with the model number SM-S937U has been spotted on the popular benchmarking website Geekbench. The upcoming device is listed with a motherboard codenamed ‘sun' and an octa-core chipset with six cores clocking at 3.53GHz and two cores at 4.47GHz. These metrics are similar to the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, with the phone scoring 3,005 and 6,945 points on single-core and multi-core tests, respectively.
Further, the Geekbench listing reveals that the phone will have 12GB of RAM and run on Android 15. As the name suggests, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim is expected to be slimmer than other smartphones in the series. Many rumours have suggested that the phone could have a 6-7mm thickness. Moreover, the Galaxy S25 Slim could be equipped with a 6.6-inch screen with a battery with capacity between 4,700mAh and 5,000mAh. It is also expected to house a triple camera setup headlined by a 200MP primary lens.
Samsung has confirmed its next Unpacked event will be happening on January 22, and the Galaxy 25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra should be introduced later this month. However, the Galaxy S25 Slim’s launch could be delayed, and it is tipped to go on sale later than the others.
