Samsung Galaxy Ring, the first smart ring from Samsung, was launched globally in July and had its Indian launch this October. The smart wearable device powered by AI is aimed at offering a comprehensive health and wellness experience. However, as it falls in the nascent category, the South Korean tech giant's implementation had some shortcomings, too, especially with its availability for users with large fingers. Thankfully, Samsung could change that soon.
Samsung Galaxy Ring to get sizes 14 and 15 options: Key details
According to credible leaker Max Jambor on X (formerly known as Twitter), Galaxy Ring sizes 14 and 15 will be available to order sometime in January, likely coinciding with Unpacked 2025, where the Galaxy S25 series will also be unveiled. Currently, Samsung offers the Galaxy Ring in sizes 5 to 13.
Further, these two size options have also been spotted in a leaked user manual with the model numbers SM-Q514 and SM-Q515. However, it is still unclear whether Samsung would offer an exchange program for existing Galaxy Ring users looking to get one of the bigger sizes, which will boast inner diameters of 23mm and 23.8mm for sizes 14 and 15, respectively.
Moreover, these two ring sizes would provide comfort and durability for people with large fingers. It will also help legitimize the Galaxy Ring against the rest of the competition, as the Oura Ring, one of the other popular smart rings that have gained popularity in recent times, is already available with up to size 15 options.
