Reliance Jio launches Prima 2 feature phone with WhatsApp, Google Assistant and app store: Price, features and more

Reliance Jio has announced its new budget feature phone called JioPhone Prima 2 in India. The phone comes as the successor to last year’s JioPhone Prima 4G and it offers a bigger battery, design and features.

JioPhone Prima 2: Price in India

JioPhone Prima 2 is priced at Rs 2,799 which is same as the last year’s model. The phone is now available for purchase across the country.

JioPhone Prima 2: Special recharge plans

Like other JioPhone’s available in the market, the JioPhone Prima 2 is also locked to Jio network only. Reliance is also offering a special recharge plan for JioPhone Prima devices. These plans start at Rs 75 and go all the way to Rs 895.

JioPhone Prima 2: Specifications

JioPhone Prima 2 is equipped with a 2.4-inch QVGA curved display with a resolution of 240x320 pixels. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm chipset, however, Jio hasn’t revealed the specifics of the chip on its official website.

The phone comes with 4GB storage and has 512MB of RAM. Additionally, there’s a microSD card slot that allows users to expand the storage by up to 512GB.

In terms of camera, the Prima 2 features a 0.3MP VGA camera at the front that supports video calling using the 4G network. The phone runs KaiOS 2.5.3 and comes with apps like YouTube, Facebook, Google Assistant, WhatsApp, JioTV, JioCinema, etc.
