“Refrigerator, door open karo...” Samsung’s new AI fridge listens, talks and even knows what’s inside

“Refrigerator, door open karo.” Yes, that’s an actual voice command you can now give to Samsung’s new AI-powered fridge. The company has launched its 2025 Bespoke AI appliance line-up in India, bringing smart appliances that listen, respond, and even understand what’s happening inside your home.

The highlight is the Bespoke AI Refrigerator, which comes with a 9-inch touchscreen and a voice assistant that understands natural conversations. You can ask it to open the door, check what’s inside, or even suggest recipes based on what’s available in your fridge. The AI Vision Inside feature can recognise up to 37 fresh items and 50 packaged foods, track expiry dates, and notify you before anything goes bad.

This fridge isn’t just a cooler, it doubles up as a family hub. The screen lets you leave notes, check your schedule, stream content, or control other smart appliances at home, all from one place. Hands are full? Just ask Bixby, Samsung’s voice assistant, to do the job for you.

The 2025 line-up also includes the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo which includes a washer and dryer rolled into one machine. It automatically adjusts wash cycles based on fabric type, weight, and how dirty the clothes are. There’s also the Bespoke AI WindFree Air Conditioner, which cools rooms without blasting cold air directly, and learns your cooling habits to save energy. A smarter top-load washing machine joins the list as well, offering fabric-specific care using AI.

Security and privacy have been a big focus. These appliances come with Samsung Knox, a security system that protects your data across devices. Accessibility has been improved too, with features like voice-based controls, auto-opening doors, larger fonts, and screen readers.

Price and availability

The Bespoke AI Refrigerator starts at Rs 44,000, while the French Door model with an AI screen will be available from July. The AI WindFree AC starts at Rs 36,000, and the AI Top Load Washer starts at Rs 24,500. The Bespoke AI Laundry Combo, the washer and dryer in one is priced at Rs 3,19,000.
