Oppo has launched the latest Reno 12 series in India today, which consists of the Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro smartphones. Both devices get several AI features like AI Best Face, AI Writer, AI Recording Summary, AI Eraser 2.0, AI Studio, and more. The smartphones are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy, a special edition of the chipset designed for the Reno Series.

Oppo Reno 12 series: Price, availability

The Oppo Reno 12 is available for Rs 32,999, for 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, and will be available from July 25 onwards. On the other hand, the Reno 12 Pro is available at a starting price of Rs 36,999 for 12GB RAM and 256GB storage, and the 12GB+512GB variant at Rs 40,999. It will be available from July 18.

Users can get up to Rs 4,000 instant cashback on purchasing the device, with major bank cards. Both phones will be available from Flipkart, Oppo India website, and major retail stores.

Oppo Reno 12 series: Specifications, features

The Oppo Reno 12 Pro and Reno 12 share several hardware features. Both smartphones feature a 6.7-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and 1200 nits peak. Both phones also pack the same 5,000mAh battery with 80W fast charging support and are powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy processor.

However, both smartphones differ in the camera department. The Reno 12 Pro has a 50MP Sony LYT600 primary sensor with OIS, a 50MP telephoto camera with 2X optical zoom, and an 8MP ultra-wide camera. The standard Reno 12 also gets the same 50MP Sony LYT600 primary camera. However, it has an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera at the back.

At the front, you get a 32MP sensor on the Reno 12, while the Pro version gets a better 50MP sensor. Both the phones run on Android 14 with ColorOS 14.1 skin on top of it and will get three years of OS updates and four years of security updates.
