After introducing the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro smartphones in India, Oppo seems to be gearing towards a new release of its high-end smartphone in the lineup. According to fresh inputs from two reliable tipsters, the purported Oppo Find X9s may stick to the compact-flagship philosophy of its predecessor, the Find X8s, while also offering flagship-grade specifications. Moreover, unlike the Find X8s, it could also see a launch in India.
Oppo Find X9s: Expected launch timeline, specifications
Earlier this week, a leak from a Chinese tipster, Digital Chat Station (DCS), revealed some key hardware details of the Oppo Find X9s. Now, Indian tipster Debayan Roy (@Gadgetsdata) has revealed more details about this smartphone, including its expected release timeline in India. In a recent tweet, the tipster claimed that the Oppo Find X9s is expected to debut around March this year.
Further, the phone is expected to sport a 6.3-inch 120Hz AMOLED or OLED display with 1.5K resolution. The panel is also said to use LTPS technology, which means it can switch between refresh rates to conserve battery. Further, the phone is mentioned to be powered by MediaTek's Dimensity 9500+ chipset, which places it as one of the high-end devices in terms of performance.
The tipster also adds that the Oppo Find X9s will house a large 7,000mAh battery, which would be notable for a phone with such a compact screen size. As for the optics, the Find X9s will likely include a 200MP main camera, supported by a 50MP ultra-wide camera and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens. Other features mentioned in the post include an IP69 rating for water and dust resistance, a metal frame, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. All of these specifications suggest that the Oppo Find X9s could turn out to be one of the most interesting compact flagships in 2026.
