MWC 2025: What to expect from the biggest annual tech conference of this year

Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 is nearly upon us, and the mega event is set to be held in Barcelona between March 3 and March 6. It will bring together global technology-leading brands that will showcase the latest gadgets, software, and, lately, innovations in the AI space. Here is a quick look at what you should expect over the next week from MWC 2025.

During the MWC 2025, we will be able to see multiple smartphone launches, including the Xiaomi 15 series, Nothing Phone 3a series, Tecno Camon 40 Series, and other concept and new innovative devices. Moreover, after recently unveiling the S25 series at the Galaxy Unpacked event, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is likely to be showcased during MWC 2025.

Additionally, Lenovo will make headlines with its ThinkBook Flip AI PC, which would be a foldable laptop featuring a flexible OLED display. MediaTek will also introduce its new Dimensity 7400 and 7400X SoCs, which will likely go against Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 8 Elite. Interestingly, MediaTek is also launching its 5G-Advanced M90 modem at MWC 2025, which will enable download speeds up to 12GBps.

This year, artificial intelligence (AI) will be a dominant theme at MWC 2025, with leading companies such as Google, Samsung, and Honor to introduce how AI is reshaping smartphones, wearables, and other consumer electronics. In particular, Honor is set to showcase its ‘Alpha Plan,’ highlighting new AI innovations and products with a cross-connectivity solution that allows seamless sharing with iOS devices.
