After introducing its Razr 60 lineup last year, Motorola is reportedly working on its succeeding lineup, the Razr 70 series, which could launch soon. While the company has yet to confirm the existence of these smartphones, the purported Motorola Razr 70 has now reportedly received regulatory approval in the UAE, hinting at its imminent arrival globally. Previously, the same certification platform had also listed the Motorola Razr 70 Ultra.
Motorola Razr 70 listed on the TDRA certification database
Tech blogger Anvin (@ZionsAnvin) has shared a screenshot of the UAE's Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA) database on X, which confirms that the Motorola Razr 70 has now been certified for sale in the country, with the model number XT2657-8. This also suggests that the flip smartphone could be launched by the brand in select global markets soon, including a potential release in India.
Last week, the blogger had also revealed that the Motorola Edge 70 Fusion, Motorola Razr 70 Ultra, Moto G17, Moto G67, and Moto G77, with the model numbers XT2605-2, XT2623-3, XT2655-1, XT2621-2, and XT2621-4, respectively, have also been spotted on the same telecom regulatory website. This suggests that both Motorola Razr 70 devices could launch simultaneously in the coming months. To recall, the Motorola Razr 60 series was unveiled globally in April last year, with the Indian market seeing a May 2025 release.
However, these listings do not reveal any other details about these smartphones, including their potential specifications and price. The Motorola Razr 70 lineup might offer a few upgrades over its predecessor in the hardware department, including improvements in performance and cameras. Based on previous release patterns, we can ascertain that the Razr 70 could be renamed as the Motorola Razr 2026 in the US.
