Motorola is expected to launch its new smartphone – Edge 60 Fusion – in India in the coming weeks. Ahead of the official announcement, the launch date as well as the specifications of the phone has surfaced online revealing the expected launch date of the phone too.
According to the leaks, the Edge 60 Fusion might debut in the coming weeks. The device is anticipated to succeed the Edge 50 Fusion, which debuted in May 2024. A recent leak suggests that the Edge 60 Fusion could arrive with a MediaTek chipset, a high-refresh-rate display, and an improved battery.
Expected launch date and price
Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is expected to launch in India on April 2, 2025. The first sale is speculated to take place a week later on April 9. While official pricing details remain unknown, reports indicate that the device could be priced around €350 (approximately Rs 32,920). This would represent a significant increase from the Edge 50 Fusion, which had a starting price of Rs 22,999.
Specifications and features
Motorola Edge 60 Fusion is rumoured to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chipset, a recent addition to MediaTek’s lineup. The smartphone is expected to sport a 6.7-inch quad-curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. While the display size sees a slight increase from its predecessor's 6.67-inch panel, the refresh rate would be a downgrade from the 144Hz offered by the Edge 50 Fusion.
On the camera front, the device is likely to include a dual rear camera setup comprising a 50MP Sony LYT700 sensor and a 13MP secondary camera. The front camera is expected to be a 32MP sensor, similar to last year’s model.
The battery capacity is rumoured to be 5500mAh, which would be a 10% increase from the 5000mAh battery found in the Edge 50 Fusion. Additionally, the Edge 60 Fusion could come with an IP69 rating for dust and water resistance, along with MIL-STD-810 certification for durability.
