Motorola has launched its latest midrange smartphone, the Edge 50 in India today. It comes with a durable design and is the world’s slimmest smartphone to come with an IP68 rating and military-grade (MIL-810H) certification. The company claims that the smartphone has passed 16 rigorous tests for durability and extreme environmental conditions and can withstand shocks, vibrations, and accidental drops.

The Motorola Edge 50 is available in a single variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. The smartphone is available in Jungle Green and Pantone Peach Fuzz colour options with a vegan leather back, and a Koala Grey shade with a vegan suede back.
The Motorola Edge 50 will have its first sale on August 8 on Flipkart and Motorola’s official website. It is priced at Rs 27,999 and Motorola is offering an instant discount of Rs 2,000 on Axis Bank and IDFC First Bank credit card transactions.

The Motorola Edge 50 comes with a 6.67-inch pOLED 1.5K curved display with a peak 120Hz refresh rate and 1,900 nits brightness. It also has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection layered on top. The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset paired with 8GB RAM.
In the photography department, the Motorola Edge 50 sports a 50MP Sony-Lytia 700C primary camera, a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom support, and a 13MP ultra-wide camera. For selfies, you get a 13MP front camera.
The Edge 50 has a 5000mAh battery with 68W fast charging, 15W wireless, and 5W reverse wireless support. It also supports 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and USB Type-C connectivity.
