At CES 2026, Mercedes-Benz is centering its showcase on the U.S. premiere of the all-new electric GLC and a broader push toward software-led vehicles. The debut marks a milestone for one of the brand’s best-selling nameplates in the U.S., now reimagined as a fully electric SUV with a focus on digital experiences, connected services and driver assistance.
MBUX, displays and in-car software
A major focus is the latest iteration of the brand’s in-car platform, including the optional 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen that spans the dashboard. The electric GLC runs on the AI-powered MB.OS and the fourth-generation MBUX system, integrating AI technologies from both Microsoft and Google. Features such as intelligent air suspension, an 800-volt charging architecture and the MB.DRIVE driver-assistance suite underline Mercedes-Benz’s emphasis on software-defined vehicles.
Immersive audio and video partnerships
Mercedes-Benz is using CES 2026 to demonstrate expanded entertainment experiences developed with technology partners. At Dolby Live in Las Vegas, the company is showcasing native music streaming and Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos in Apple CarPlay, developed with Dolby. Video streaming is also being highlighted in the all-new electric CLA, with DTS AutoStage Video powered by TiVo and RIDEVU by Sony Pictures Entertainment, offering IMAX Enhanced content and DTS:X sound.
AI-powered driving assistance
Driver assistance is another pillar of the CES presentation. Mercedes-Benz is demonstrating MB.DRIVE technology developed with NVIDIA, combining AI, full-stack automated-driving software and accelerated compute. MB.DRIVE ASSIST PRO supports SAE Level 2 functions, enabling assisted city navigation while allowing continuous driver control.
What it signals
The CES 2026 showcase underlines Mercedes-Benz’s strategy of pairing electric vehicles with software, AI and entertainment ecosystems. With the electric GLC leading the presentation, the company is positioning its future lineup around digital platforms as much as hardware, ahead of its planned U.S. rollout later in 2026.
