LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight

The release date for LEGO: Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight was announced during the recently held The Game Awards. Developed by TT Games, the upcoming LEGO Batman game launches on May 29, 2026 and comes in two game editions: Standard and Deluxe. Let's learn in detail about what each game edition contains.

LEGO: Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight- Standard Edition content

The LEGO: Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight Standard Edition consists of the base game with the main story campaign, 100 suits and outfits for both Batman and every playable character, over 20 vehicles and more than 200 Batcave props and trophies.

In the main story campaign, players will live Bruce Wayne’s origin as Batman, as he trains with Ra's Al Ghul-led The League of Shadows and returns to Gotham to become its watchful protector. Over the course of his crime-fighting career, he will meet and join forces with allies like Jim Gordon, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman and Talia al Ghul.

Several iconic villains from Batman’s Rogues Gallery play important roles in the game’s storyline as The Dark Knight will encounter threats in the form of The Joker, Bane, The Penguin, Mr Freeze, Poison Ivy, his mentor Ra's al Ghul, and more DC Comics characters.

The 100 suits and outfits collection comprises a variety of Batsuits and individual outfits for every playable character. These are “inspired by Batman’s legacy in film, television, comics, and games,” said the developer.

Players will also get to use over 20 Batmobiles and Batcycles to explore the open world of Gotham City. Yes, the Tumbler is included.

With 250 Batcave Props and Trophies available, players can display various items and proudly adorn their Batcaves with their accomplishments.

LEGO: Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight- Deluxe Edition content

The LEGO: Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight Deluxe Edition contains everything the Standard Edition comes with, in addition to the Legacy Collection content packs and the Mayhem Collection pack.

The Legacy Collection will be available at launch, while the Mayhem Collection is a post-launch DLC and arrives in September 2026.

The Legacy Collection includes the Arkham Trilogy Pack, Batman Beyond Pack and Party Music Pack. These content packs come with over 30 launch-day items in total. Each Batman content pack will add seven new suits (one per playable character), one new Batmobile and a set of five Batcave customisation props.

The Mayhem Collection adds a new Mayhem Mode with two new playable characters, a new Story mission and the Sinister Pack.

The Mayhem Mode adds The Joker and Harley Quinn as playable characters to the LEGO Batman game. Both will have their own special abilities, takedowns and gadgets, just like the others.

The Story Mission is about The Joker and Harley Quinn breaking out of Arkham Asylum, while the Sinister Pack features seven new suits (one suit per original playable character), one new Batmobile, and five Batcave customisation props.

LEGO: Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight- Which game edition to go for?

The Standard Edition of LEGO: Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight costs Rs 3,899, while the Deluxe Edition comes at a price tag of Rs 5,499. The Deluxe Edition’s Mayhem Pack is the only post-launch pack that will add gameplay-based content with two new playable characters and a new story mission. Also, new Batmobiles should be a big draw if you plan on traversing through the open world of Gotham City a lot. The rest of the extra content the Deluxe Edition gets you are suits and cosmetic items.

If you are a hardcore Batman fan who likes the idea of a LEGO-themed Bat-verse adventure or even a fan of the Arkham series games, and you loved the additional challenges in those games, like The Riddler trophies, then you can safely go for the Standard Edition of LEGO: Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight. The Deluxe Edition is meant more for those who have played and loved the earlier LEGO Batman games.
