LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, the upcoming third–person action–adventure game from TT Games and Warner Bros. Games, has a new release date. The open-world Batman game will now launch on May 22, 2026, one week earlier than the previously confirmed date, the developers announced in a new trailer. An important note: the new release date for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight applies only to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). The Nintendo Switch 2 version of the LEGO Batman game will launch later in 2026.
Since the release date for LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has been moved up, the 72-hour early access to the game via the Deluxe Edition purchase now comes earlier. Hence, those who get the Deluxe Edition can start playing from May 19. Pre-orders for the Standard and Deluxe Editions of the game are live on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Those who preorder any game edition of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight receive The Dark Knight Returns Batsuit (at launch), inspired by the Frank Miller comic book.
LEGO: Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight- Deluxe Edition content
The LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Deluxe Edition includes everything in the Standard Edition, plus the Legacy Collection content packs and the Mayhem Collection pack.
The Legacy Collection will be available at launch, while the Mayhem Collection is a post-launch DLC scheduled for September 2026.
The Legacy Collection includes three content packs: the Arkham Trilogy Pack, Batman Beyond Pack and Party Music Pack. These content packs include over 30 launch-day items. Each Batman content pack will add seven new suits (one per playable character), one new Batmobile and a set of five Batcave customisation props.
The Mayhem Collection adds a new Mayhem Mode with two new playable characters, a new Story mission and the Sinister Pack.
Mayhem Mode introduces The Joker and Harley Quinn as playable characters in LEGO Batman. The Clown Prince of Crime and his now-on-now-off girlfriend will have their own special abilities, takedowns and gadgets in the open world game, just like the other seven playable characters.
The Story Mission is about The Joker and Harley Quinn breaking out of Arkham Asylum and the Sinister Pack features seven new suits (one suit per original playable character), one new Batmobile and five Batcave customisation props.
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is scheduled to launch across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store).
