JioHotstar has announced a revised subscription structure for new users, introducing nine plans across Mobile, Super and Premium tiers. The update, effective January 28, 2026, adds monthly options across all tiers while retaining quarterly and annual plans. The move is aimed at offering greater flexibility to users and aligning pricing with growing connected TV consumption in India.
The company has clarified that there will be no change in pricing or benefits for existing subscribers as long as their auto-renewal remains active.
Under the new structure, JioHotstar is making monthly plans available across all tiers for the first time. Prices start at Rs 79 per month for the Mobile plan, while Super and Premium tiers are priced at Rs 149 and Rs 299 per month respectively.
The platform said the revised pricing reflects changing viewing habits, particularly the rise in large-screen and connected TV usage over the past year. Monthly plans are expected to benefit users looking for short-term access as well as households preferring flexible entertainment options.
Hollywood content will now be included by default in Super and Premium tiers for new subscribers. Mobile-tier users can continue to access Hollywood titles via an optional add-on, allowing them to customise their subscription.

Hollywood add-on pricing for Mobile users is Rs 49 (monthly), Rs 129 (quarterly) and Rs 399 (annual). The add-on is included by default in Super and Premium tiers.
Availability
The new JioHotstar subscription plans will be available to new subscribers starting January 28, 2026, across mobile, web and supported living room devices. Existing subscribers will continue on their current plans without any changes.
JioHotstar said the update comes at a key growth phase, with the platform crossing one billion downloads on Google Play and serving over 450 million monthly active users across all Indian pin codes. The service currently offers more than 300,000 hours of content across languages and genres.
Commenting on the change, Sushant Sreeram, Head – SVOD Business and Chief Marketing Officer at JioStar, said the revised plans are designed to match how audiences prefer to watch content today, while supporting long-term investments in premium entertainment and live sports.
