iQoo beats Google and Samsung to Android 15 update; confirms FunTouch 15 update for iQoo 12

Vivo has already started rolling out the FunTouch OS 15 based on Android 15 and now its sub-brand iQoo has also confirmed that it will start rolling out the FunTouch OS 15 update for iQoo 12 in India. Apart from this, other phones from iQoo is also expected to receive the update in coming weeks. If you are unaware, Viv o has already rolled out the update for X100 series and X Fold 3 smartphones.

Funtouch OS 15: Key features

The Funtouch OS 15 comes with Memory Enhancement Technology that utilizes an optimized zRAM compression algorithm, resulting in a 40% boost in compression speed. It also has a new smart scheduling algorithm that provides apt computing power to different apps and tasks depending on their priority level and requirements.

With this update, the system's dynamic effects now feel more natural, courtesy of the new Origin animation. This optimisation also improves the tactical response, promising an improved user experience. Further, the Funtouch OS 15 now comes with a new set of static and live wallpapers, fingerprint animations, widgets, and icons to choose from.

Apart from these customization options, Vivo has also included many AI features with this new operating system. To start with, the AI Photo Enhance optimises image parameters to improve the overall image quality. We also get the AI Erase feature, which is an object removal tool that can remove elements from images, like Google’s Magic Eraser.

It also comes with a live transcribe feature that provides live transcriptions of spoken on-screen content. The screen capture feature has also been revamped and now supports multiple audio tracks and annotations.
