According to renowned Apple analyst Jeff Pu via MacRumors, all the devices in the iPhone 17 lineup, including the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the rumoured iPhone 17 Air, will have a 24MP front camera. With this higher-resolution selfie camera, Apple users can expect photos to maintain their quality even when cropped to a greater degree, providing more flexibility in post-processing.

Moreover, Pu has also added that with the iPhone 17 Pro models, Apple will likely introduce a 48MP triple camera setup that is expected to include an upgraded 48MP telephoto lens, a big improvement from the 12MP telephoto camera in the iPhone 16 Pro models. Moreover, Apple may also redesign the camera island, as according to Pu, we could see an upgraded rectangular camera island.

Further, the analyst also expects the iPhone 17 Pro models will be equipped with 12GB of RAM, up from 8GB in iPhone 16 Pro models. This increase in memory would likely contribute to improved multitasking and improved performance for background Apple Intelligence tasks.
