Artificial Intelligence is being used by many across the world for a variety of tasks. From writing to getting recipes to solving complex problems, AI is almost everywhere now. But what do tech bigwigs use AI the most for? In an interview with The Verge, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates revealed how and what he uses AI the most for.
Gates said that he is often learning about new topics and ChatGPT “is an excellent way to get explanations for specific questions.” He also said that since he writes things a lot, it has been a big help for him in writing as well. But the one feature that stands out the most for Gates is summaries. “I’d say the feature I use the most is the meeting summary, which is integrated into [Microsoft] Teams, which I use a lot,” Gates told The Verge. “The ability to interact and not just get the summary, but ask questions about the meeting, is pretty fantastic,” he added.
Gates was also optimistic about the near-term usage of AI and said that it will be positive in the fields of health and education. He said that it is great to see how AI has been a big help for the teachers do their jobs, help the students who are behind or ahead stay engaged. “So, for the next decade, we’ll be experiencing increased productivity in a lot of areas, which is overwhelmingly very good news,” he told The Verge.
The one downside, as per Gates, which younger generation needs to look out for is misinformation. He said, “Misinformation is the one where I do think the younger generation is going to have to look at the tradeoffs between free speech and misinforming people.”
