In a major shift, tech and business sectors in India are offering high-paying corporate positions to women, a Business Standard report said citing a TeamLease Digital report.
These roles, the report said, offer excellent career opportunities with competitive salaries to women with experience.
The report further said that women, both freshers and experience professionals, are taking top positions in various fields, including data science, product management, cloud engineering, and cybersecurity.
Some of the positions that the women are being offered are: product manager, senior product manager, directors, data scientists, cloud engineer, senior cloud engineers, project management office, among others.

Product managers with an experience ranging from 0-3 years can get up to Rs 22 lakh per annum, the salary for senior product managers and directors can go as high as 1.6 crore a year.
Data scientists with a 0-3 years of experience can expect a salary of up to Rs 18 lakh on the higher side. Senior data scientists with an experience of around 8 years can earn up to Rs 1.5 crore per annum.
However, last year, TeamLease had reported that gender gap in terms of pay has widened to an alarming level in the Indian tech space. The difference in salary between male and women employees in some job roles that see heavy demand has reached as high as 22-30 percent, a 2024 study by TeamLease Digital had shown.
