Google is taking another shot at making a truly smart assistant, and this time, it’s called Pixel Sense, according to a report by Android Authority. The AI assistant is expected to launch with the Pixel 10 series later this year, Pixel Sense is designed to make your phone feel more intuitive by learning from how you use it.
What is Pixel Sense?
Pixel Sense is expected to be personal assistant that lives right on your phone. It picks up on your daily habits and gives you helpful suggestions based on what you do. It pulls information from apps like Calendar, Gmail, Maps, Photos, YouTube, and more, plus it can even analyze your screenshots and media files to help you stay organized.
How does it work?
It runs entirely on your device, not in the cloud, which means it’s fast and keeps your data private—even Google can’t see it. It’s powered by AI (most likely Google’s Gemini Nano) and learns from how you use your phone to make life easier. Here’s what it can do:
–It remembers things you do often and offers timely reminders, like suggesting a place you visit a lot or pulling up a name when you need it.
–It figures out your routines and helps you complete tasks faster, so you’re not constantly repeating the same steps.
–Over time, it adapts to what’s important to you and keeps evolving to better suit your needs.
Which phone will get it first?
Pixel Sense will debut on the Pixel 10 series. It’s unclear if older Pixel phones will get it through a software update, but for now, it looks like Google is making this a standout feature for its newest devices.
