Last week, Google confirmed that it will launch its latest flagship Pixel 9 series on August 13. We can also expect Android 15 OS and other accessories to be launched at the same event. However, a month before the official launch, a new clip, shared by Hani Mohamed Bioud on X from Algeria shows us a glimpse of the Pixel 9 with its new pink colour variant.
This new pink colour variant is purportedly named "Peony" after the vibrant flower and has a glossy shade. The short video also reveals that the Pixel 9 will have a flatter edge than its predecessor, with a more rounded and protruding camera module. Since the phone isn’t switched on in the video, this may likely be a dummy unit. The post also suggests that the Google Pixel 9 will come with 256GB of internal storage.
We can further expect the Google Pixel 9 to be powered by the Google Tensor G4 chipset, which is expected to offer a significant performance bump over its predecessor with better thermal efficiency. Many rumours have also pointed out that the Pixel 9 will have 12GB RAM, instead of the 8GB RAM on the Pixel 7 and 8.
The Google Pixel 9 series will make its official debut next month, on August 13, and many rumours point out that we can also see a new Pixel 9 Pro XL model with a bigger screen and battery. We might get a glimpse of another foldable phone from Google on the same day.
