Google Pixel 10 prototype with telephoto sensor and Tensor G5 SoC spotted on Chinese auction site

Google’s next-generation Pixel 10 series is likely to be announced next month. Ahead of its launch, plenty of leaks and rumours of all the devices in the lineup have appeared on the web. Now, an alleged prototype Pixel 10 has been listed on a Chinese auction website, which includes photos of the device. One of the images shows the rear design of the phone with a triple rear camera unit, while the other ones reveal its chipset and motherboard details.

Google Pixel 10 prototype images reveal key hardware information

According to a report by Android Headlines, a Pixel 10 Pro prototype has been leaked in some live images courtesy of a listing on a Chinese auction site named Goofish. The listing shows the seller claiming that it's a Pixel 10 prototype, with the images showing the front and back of the device. On the front panel, we see the display with the service menu running and EVT1.0 (Engineering Validation Testing) fastboot menu running in the background.

Despite being a prototype, the device in the images appears quite close to the final version of the Pixel 10. Another image reveals the pill-shaped rear camera unit of the Pixel 10 and corroborates earlier rumours, which suggested that a telephoto camera will join the main and ultrawide sensors in the base Pixel 10 smartphone this year. The prototype unit, said to be fully functional, is listed at CNY 7,777 (around Rs 92,000).

Interestingly, the seller also included an image of the phone’s alleged motherboard, with the ‘G5’ written boldly, suggesting the use of the upcoming Tensor G5 processor. However, a random listing on an auction site is hardly an official source of information, so some scepticism is always warranted about these images.
