Google Maps comes with built-in Air Quality Index that tells users about the air quality around their area or the location they are planning to visit. The feature, according to Google, not only tells about the average air quality in the area, but also sharsome tips depending upon the air quality. Also, Google Maps now provides hyperlocal air quality indexes (AQI) across India. The Air Quality layer is currently available in 40+ countries around the world on Google Maps, including the U.S., Australia, Israel, Chile, Singapore, and more.
That’s not it. Google Maps’ AQI data gets updated every hour and it gets displayed in numbers ranging from 0 to 500.
0 to 50: Considered good
51 to 100: Considered satisfactory
101 to 200: Considered moderate
201 to 300: Considered poor
301 to 400: Considered very poor
401 to 500: Considered severe
Apart from this, there is colour coding as well where green stands for good and red stands for bad.
